The Truth About UV Foot Pedals: What We Learned (And Fixed)

When we first started using and selling our UV light for lash extensions, we included a standard foot pedal—the same plastic one that many other brands use. It seemed fine at first, but over time, we realized something wasn’t right.

Occasionally, the wires inside the foot pedal would become disconnected over time (4-6 months). This wasn’t a constant issue, but when it happened, it caused the UV light to flicker—or not turn on at all.

After some digging, we discovered this is actually a common problem with many UV light foot pedals. That wasn’t acceptable to us.

Engineering a Better Solution

We knew that even though a more durable foot pedal would cost more, the long-term reliability and peace of mind were worth it.

So we found a better one. And we think you’ll love it.

Reinforced Internal Wiring

Check out the inside of our new foot pedal. See the extra reinforcement where the wire connects? That design helps prevent the electrical connection from breaking when the cord is tugged or moved.

Cord Protector + Stabilizer

We added a beefy protector and stabilizer right where the cord enters the foot pedal. This s adds major strength and prevents strain on the cord to create a reliable connection.

Built to Last: All-Metal Design

We also switched to a fully metal pedal. That means better durability, better weight, and better long-term performance.

Since we launched the new foot pedal over 6 months ago, we’re thrilled to report: we haven’t had a single issue. It’s built to last—and should provide many years of trouble-free use!

Our new UV Light Foot Pedal comes included with all of our UV Lights and UV Light Kits.
