Halo UV Light and Adhesive Troubleshooting

Our Halo Lights come with a 1-year warranty that covers manufacturing defects during that time. If you encounter issues with your light, please go through the troubleshooting tips below first before contacting us.

  • For the Halo Light, make sure the light is 6-8" from the lashes. For Halo focus you can be 8"-12" between the light and the lashes.
  • Test by putting a drop of UV glue on a piece of lashing tape and seeing if it cures within 3-5 seconds of exposure to the light. You should see it harden.
  • Make sure your light is fully plugged in. If it is plugged into a power strip, try to plug into the wall directly. In some rare cases we have seen power issues with an outlet, so you could try switching outlets.
  • If using the Halo Focus, which includes light adjustment, adjust so the beam of light is more focused around the lashes. This provides more direct UV exposure to the glue.
  • Make sure the peddle is plugged into a USB power brick. Try using the one that came with your light.
  • The UV glue could have gone bad. See below.
  • Depending on the type of UV glue you are using, and some other factors, could change how long it takes the glue to cure under the light.

First check the cord connection between the light and foot pedal, and then from the foot pedal to the power outlet. If the cord got damaged, it could cause flickering. If the light still flickers after pressing down on the foot pedal, this usually indicates the cord has gotten loose in the foot pedal. If you are under the 1-year warranty, we will ship you out a new pedal free of charge. Just send us an email: info@evlolash.com . We are constantly working on increasing the durability of our foot pedals.

Once you open a bottle of Halo UV glue exposure to the air can cause the glue to go bad eventually (depending on humidity and temperature). We found the glue is usually fine up to 3 months after opening. If the glue is exposed to extreme temperatures, can also cause problems. In most cases you can tell if the glue has gone bad if it becomes thick or stringy. If it is not thick or stringy, chances are the UV glue has not gone bad. if the glue has partially cured, that usually means the glue was exposed to UV light somehow.

It is rare for the lights on our Halo Lights to go bad or break. If there is an issue, it usually deals with the foot pedal... which we are constantly trying to improve the durability of our foot pedals.

Clogging is caused by glue drying in the glue tip. The best way to prevent clogging is "burping" your glue after each dispense of the bottle. You basically want to push air through the tip before re-applying the glue cap. There is also a piercing tool that is included with each glue that can be used. There is an extra glue tip included with all UV glues, just in case one does get clogged.

If you are still having problems, please email us at info@evlolash.com so we can help you with your problem.
